Stabilizer Bar (Sway Bar)

A torsion bar that reduces body roll during cornering.

The stabilizer bar connects the left and right suspension sides, distributing forces during turns. It resists body roll and improves stability by twisting along its axis. Broken end links or bushings lead to excessive lean and clunking noises. Replacing worn components restores cornering confidence. Performance vehicles use thicker or adjustable sway bars for precise handling. Properly functioning stabilizers enhance both comfort and safety.
