Oxygen Sensor

A sensor that measures oxygen content in exhaust gases to optimize air-fuel ratio.

The oxygen sensor (O2 sensor) monitors exhaust oxygen levels to help the ECU maintain efficient combustion. It adjusts fuel injection to achieve ideal stoichiometric balance. Faulty sensors cause poor fuel economy and high emissions. Heated O2 sensors reach operating temperature faster for precise feedback. Regular replacement keeps emissions low and engine efficiency high.
