Inverter Module

Converts DC power from the battery into AC power for electric motors.

The inverter module is the heart of an electric vehicle's power electronics. It takes high-voltage DC energy from the battery and converts it into AC current to drive the motor. Advanced inverters use silicon carbide (SiC) or gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductors for improved efficiency. The inverter also controls motor torque and regenerative braking through precise pulse-width modulation. Thermal management is critical to prevent overheating. In modern EVs, inverters are often integrated with the motor and DC/DC converter into one powertrain unit for compactness.
