Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

A safety feature that alerts drivers when they unintentionally drift from their lane.

LDW uses a front-facing camera to monitor road markings. If the vehicle crosses a lane without signaling, the system issues an audio or haptic warning. Proper camera positioning and clean windshields are vital for performance. Some vehicles upgrade this to Lane Keep Assist (LKA), which actively steers the car back. Calibration ensures reliable lane detection in all lighting conditions.
